Due to the air disruption over the last weekend there was quite a few missing faces, none the less the ladies field was very strong. I had a good run up to the last 8 where I had to play Worlds No 1 Deta Hedman. As usual she was on top form and went 2 nil up, I battled back and made it 2 all so it was all down to the deciding leg which I managed to win. In the semi Final I played the new Unicorn signing Stefi Luck who had put out Karen Lawman in the quarters so I knew it was going to be another tough match. My experience got me through and I won 2 sets to nil. So onto the final where I had to play another Unicorn signing Irina Armstrong who had beaten Frances Honsalaar in the first semi. The outcome was 2 sets to nil to me winning on the bull. What a way to win the Bulls German Open

After the dissapointment of not reaching Lakeside I have now got to pick myself up and start again. Due to a problem with my shoulder I have not got off to the flying start that I had last year. I have booked a few tournaments and will try and play through the pain barrier. Watch this space and you never know a miracle may happen
